Word Problem Strategies for Students who Struggle with Reading

In this third grade math problem, I pretend to be like a student who struggles with reading. Most word problems our entire paragraphs, which are difficult for students who struggle with reading even a complete sentence.
I will show you in the video how to help students who struggle to just focus on the numbers and key words that go with them. This tends to give your students at least a fifty-fifty chance of getting the answer correct.
