Video: Comparing Improper Fractions and Mixed Numbers

This models a question like number 9 from last year's fourth grade test that got 35% correct in Texas.
It is student expectation 4.3 D, reporting category 1
The first method that I use to compare is changing a mixed number to an improper fraction using the acronym t & x, as in the abbreviation for the state we live, Texas.
The t will stand for add, and the ex will stand for multiply.
The second way that I model how to compare a mixed fraction to an improper fraction is to change the improper fraction to a mixed number using the steps of a long division that I call M.A.S.R.E.D
