Detailed expository lesson plans: Week One Day 4: How to write central/controlling idea/thesis statements for topics

Too many students get zeroes for never responding to the topic anywhere in their essay. This video is week 1 day 4 of my detailed expository lesson plans.
I would recommend that you do the introduction of the activity first where you have the kids put on shoes that have laces. They will untie and uncross the laces, then have a competition in your zoom room to see who can completely tie both shoes first.
Then you can begin getting them to write sentences that respond to the Topics as I have modeled in the video.
